Christmas and Nermal
Dec. 28th, 2009 10:35 amOnly gained 1 kilo over Christmas, I'm proud :p I did enjoy lots of good food and wine too ;) I'm learning to drink wine, so far it's just sweet sweet white wine, muscat and even some prosecco, but it's wine ^_^ I drank a whole bottle of Canei on Boxing Day :p (+ some) by myself...
Christmas Eve we had gourmet at mom's. She made all kinds of different snacks to put on it though so it wasn't your regular gourmet dinner. Rocky didn't want to sleep in Chibi's basket so we just put the sleepingbag on the ground for him. He thought it was weird she wasn't there, first thing he did was walk 3 rounds around the room to look for her. He wasn't very happy (came all the way on the bus and now my play mate isn't there).
Christmas Day we spent doing nothing.
Boxing Day San's parents had dinner here. San cooked a prestigious dinner with mushroom soup, quails in a red wine sauce, deer from the oven and creme brulee. I helped ofcourse but man does she cook! yum yum. After her parents left we watched LotR Fellowship of the Ring the extended version.
Yesterday, after washing dishes, we watched the other 2 LotR movies extended. And then it was almost time for bed again XD Watched tv all day :p
We didn't do Christmas presents this year. Which is good since San is turning 30 on Wednesday! Not much money to spend on gifts otherwise ;)
Meanwhile we had a little scare with our black cat Nermal. She didn't want to eat at the beginning of last week, barely drank either. She didn't meow anymore (she's normally very vocal) and was generally weak. We fed her some other things (milk and ham) which she took. She's quite alright now but I'm taking her to the vet anyway, we made an appointment. Maybe she just had a soar throat, we just hope it's not her kidneys. She's 9 year old. We'll see what the vet says. I should get the basket ready, appointment is in an hour.
