school, diet, mom house!
May. 8th, 2009 10:36 amI screwed up at least 1 of my exams last semester. I got a 3 (out of 10) :p I say, better screw it completely than just fail (5 = fail, 6 = pass). Results on the other exam aren't in yet. But hey, I have enough points to continue to next year already anyway. I'm just reading the book now so I can hopefully get it the next time (in a few weeks).
This monday we started dieting. We had both gained about 11 kg since the wedding (10 months ago). So it's no more sweets now and no eating after 8... Being in a financially more difficult place helps to not buy anything while out :p No eggrolls when shopping or lunching at the local fishshop.
It's paying off too! On monday the scale said 93.4, on wednesday is was 91.7 and this morning it told me 90.7! That's 2.7 kg in 5 days XD Ofcourse the first 5 kg is easy and even the first 10 is doable, after that it'll be a challenge. But if I get there before the summerholiday I'll be very happy :p I'm happy already XD
San has been applying for jobs. She may have found a good contact that can help her a lot. I hope it will turn out right. She has an appointment with her boss this afternoon to discuss her current situation and to see what he can do for her. Also to tell him about her looking for jobs and the contact wanting references. She also placed an add for singinglessons again because she hadn't been giving any for a while and with money running tight we can use the extra income. She was contacted right away, 2 people coming for a try-out lesson and a guy asking her to do some workshops this saturday! 3 workshops for henparties! She'll be gone pretty much all saturday, but I'll just visit my mom :)
Speaking of my mom... She's accepted a house!!!! We went there yesterday and the day before to help her make her decision. On monday she'll go through it with someone of the housingcooperation to talk about things that need to be done (like placing a second toilet upstairs and installing electric in the kitchen). Then she can sign the contract on tuesday or wednesday! So, I'll be taking her to the DIY stores tomorrow to see if we can do some things ourselves. In San's family (also my family hehe) we have some guys that know plumbing and electrics so they could help us for less money than if she had to hire someone else. There's no double glazing upstairs tho so she'll talk to the guy on monday about that. They may be able to replace it for a little extra rent, but it'll save her on heating so it'll work out. I'm so glad she finally accepted something, she's been wanting to move for 3 years now! She's also moving to a neighboorhood I can see myself bring up the kids in the future so we will be moving closer to her :)
Right, back to studying!
